A new one arrived today, telling one of my customers that their webhosting was due to be terminated!
I would never send an email like this, and neither would Fasthosts, but if you’re unsure PHONE ME or forward me any emails you are unsure about to see if they are safe or not.
On this email the things that stand out are the email address it has come from. It is not from Mobile PC rescue OR Fasthosts. They can get the admin account by using any website like Whois.com, so don’t think that just because they know this information, they must be legit, these people are scammers, plain and simple! and of course, that ridiculous Invoice Number is nonexistent.
I did try to get to the website it uses, pinkweb.co but this is just a blank page, so it’s possibly a fake domain or a hacked business, we may never find that out!
