1. Overview
Mobile PC Rescue provides bespoke computer systems, custom PC builds, specialist configurations, and software solutions tailored specifically to each customer. Because of the personalised nature of our services, our returns and cancellation rules differ from standard retail policies.
This policy explains how returns, cancellations, and warranties apply to all orders placed with Mobile PC Rescue.
2. Bespoke & Custom‑Built Systems (Non‑Returnable)
All bespoke computer systems, custom PC builds, and specially configured machines are non‑returnable and non‑refundable.
Each system is built to the customer’s exact specification. Once an order is placed:
- Components are ordered specifically for that build
- Labour time is allocated
- The system becomes unique to the customer
For these reasons, we cannot accept returns or cancellations once the order has been confirmed.
3. Software Purchases (Non‑Returnable)
All software purchases—including digital licences, activation keys, operating systems, antivirus packages, and pre‑installed software—are non‑returnable and non‑refundable.
Software is ordered or licensed specifically for the customer at the time of purchase. Once issued:
- Licences cannot be revoked
- Keys cannot be resold
- Digital products cannot be “returned”
4. Hardware Warranty (Custom Systems & General Builds)
All bespoke systems and general computer builds include a hardware-only warranty.
What the hardware warranty covers:
- Faulty hardware components
- Manufacturer defects
- Component failure within the warranty period
What the hardware warranty does NOT cover:
- Software faults or corruption
- Operating system issues
- Virus/malware infections
- User‑installed software problems
- Data loss
- Labour charges for diagnostics, repairs, or software reinstallation
If a hardware component fails within the warranty period, Mobile PC Rescue will repair or replace the faulty part. Labour charges may apply, depending on the nature of the repair.
5. Labour Charges
Labour charges apply to:
- Software troubleshooting
- Operating system reinstalls
- Virus/malware removal
- User‑caused issues
- System reconfiguration
- Diagnostics unrelated to hardware failure
Hardware warranty does not include free labour for software-related problems.
6. Change of Mind
We do not accept returns or refunds for:
- Change of mind
- Incorrectly ordered specifications
- Performance expectations not aligned with the agreed specification
- Customer‑requested configuration choices
7. Proof of Purchase
All warranty claims require valid proof of purchase. This may include:
- Invoice
- Receipt
8. Delivery & Collection Policy
Delivery
Delivery times vary depending on component availability and build complexity. Customers will be notified of estimated completion dates.
Collection
Customers collecting systems must inspect the device at the time of collection. Once collected, responsibility for software condition and configuration passes to the customer.
9. Cancellation Policy
Bespoke systems, custom builds, and software orders
Cannot be cancelled once placed. Components and software are ordered immediately and cannot be returned to suppliers.
General services
Cancellations for standard repair bookings may be accepted if no work has begun.
10. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
