Some of you may have had the May 2019 update already, some have not, you’re the lucky ones 🙂
If you hit that UPDATE button you must ensure you do not have any external thumb drives or SD Cards etc connected to your PC or it can mess up all your drive letters when the update gets installed. There are reports of PC’s not booting due to a Pendrive getting assigned C:\ I cannot believe this got through the testing phase to be honest.
More info: Microsoft hasn’t officially released Windows 10’s May 2019 Update to everyone just yet, but the company is already warning of a very weird bug with it. Microsoft is blocking the update on PCs that have a USB hard disk like a thumb drive attached, or machines with an SD Card in the SD Card reader. “Inappropriate drive reassignment can occur on eligible computers that have an external USB device or SD memory card attached during the installation of the May 2019 update,” warns a Microsoft support article.

I started on computers back in the days of the Sinclair ZX81 and Spectrum, back when people were coming to terms with how great their new digital watch was. Even though I worked in DIY Shops, Fancy Goods, the building trade, DJ'ing etc, my main interest and passion was always in coding, graphics and games. I decided to take the plunge into computer shops in the mid 90's and in 2003 set up my own computer business.
I have a simple work ethic which is I prefer to make a little money often, rather than charging a fortune and losing customers. This has proven to work for me and my customers. In all the years I have traded I have never advertised and yet each week, I get new customers through recommendations - there is no higher praise :)
